To strengthen our Biomechanics Team in Zurich-Kloten we are looking for a Your Responsibilities as Lab Technician Biomechanics
- €¢ Prepare, conduct, and document mechanical tests according to internal procedures, SOPs, and international standards.
- €¢ Analyze test results and perform basic statistical evaluations.
- €¢ Prepare clear and accurate technical reports.
- €¢ Support product verification and characterization activities within R&D projects.
- €¢ Coordinate maintenance, calibration, and qualification of laboratory equipment.
- €¢ Ensure laboratory infrastructure remains operational, reliable, and compliant.
- €¢ Review, maintain, and continuously improve laboratory procedures and SOPs.
- €¢ Support failure investigations using optical microscopy and, ideally, scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
- €¢ Collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- €¢ Maintain compliance with quality and regulatory requirements in a regulated laboratory environment. Your Profile
- €¢ Degree as Dipl. Techniker/in HF/TS or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- €¢ Hands-on experience in mechanical testing.
- €¢ Experience working within interdisciplinary project teams.
- €¢ Familiarity with ISO standards and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
- €¢ Fluent German and good English communication skills.
- €¢ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Qualifications
- €¢ Experience in the medical device industry, materials science, or another regulated environment.
- €¢ Experience with workshop machinery such as milling, drilling, and turning equipment.
- €¢ Experience in optical failure analysis and material characterization.
- €¢ Knowledge of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). You Are
