We are seeking a highly motivated, learner-centered educator with a growth mindset who has experience teaching grades 9, 10, and 11. The ideal candidate will be flexible and excited to cooperate with a team of dynamic, professional languages teachers to plan, deliver, and assess student-centered curriculum in a diverse international school setting. You will hold high expectations for students and will be comfortable differentiating content and instruction for all learners.
Main responsibilities include the following:

Plan, deliver, and assess an inquiry-based German curriculum that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and high expectations for learning.

Differentiate content and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners within a multilingual student population.

Collaborate closely with a dynamic team of language teachers to design curriculum and share pedagogical best practices.

Integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Build strong, supportive relationships with students and colleagues to maintain a caring and inclusive classroom environment.

Participate actively in school life and enthusiastically contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program.

Commit to ongoing professional development, self-reflection, and the continuous development of our language program.
Qualification and Experience:

• €¢
  
A valid teaching license, including a specialism in teaching German to fluent language learners.

• €¢
  
A strong understanding of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

• €¢
  
A BA / BSc or equivalent university degree.

• €¢
  
A documented record of excellence in teaching.

• €¢
  
At least 3 years of teaching experience is preferred, ideally at an international school (international experience is required for non-Swiss/EU applicants).

Experience teaching IB Diploma Program courses is highly desirable.
