Ärztekasse is renewing its entire datacenter and the products affected by this transformation. To support this digitalization step, we are looking for smart and experienced engineers to contribute and shape clever and creative solutions for a meaningful industry.
Head of Platform Engineering (w/m)
Pensum: 80-100%
Start: immediately or by appointment

Location: Zurich area (Urdorf)
Main Tasks

Lead and develop the Platform Engineering team (approx. 8 people)

Own the strategy, architecture and roadmap of our CDM Cloud Platform (Kubernetes)

• €¢
  
Ensure availability, reliability, security and scalability of the platform

• €¢
  
Drive automation, infrastructure as code and GitOps across the organization

• €¢
  
Foster a strong engineering culture and mentor team members

• €¢
  
Collaborate with development, security, operations and infrastructure leadership on cross-team initiatives

• €¢
  
Manage budget, vendors and capacity planning for the platform
Requirements

• €¢
  
Several years of experience in platform/infrastructure engineering, including leadership

• €¢
  
Strong technical background in Kubernetes, cloud-native architecture and automation

• €¢
  
Proven ability to lead, grow and motivate engineering teams

• €¢
  
Strategic mindset combined with hands-on technical credibility

• €¢
  
Experience operating mission-critical systems in a regulated environment is a plus

• €¢
  
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills

• €¢
  

Fluent in English; German and French are a plus
