Position SummaryAs anIP Paralegal, you will assist Senior Legal Counsel(s) IP responsible for the trademark portfolio(s) and drive IP projects independently. A Day in the Life of an IP ParalegalConduct trademark availability searches (online screen searches and full availability searches) and analyse the results and make a recommendation to the responsible Counsel(s) Handle trademark and industrial design registration process from filing to grant for specific Business Unit(s), setting up of protection strategy following the business roll-out plansDeal with objections issued by IP Authorities in the world, defensive oppositions by third parties, negotiation of agreements, co-existence terms, undertakings, etc. Watch and analyse publication of competitive trademarks and file respective oppositions if necessary. Negotiate undertakings, co-existence agreements, etc. as well as draft moderately complex legal issues and reportsUpdate internal database and create new files/records as needed, docket and monitor deadlinesUndertake or assist with projects involving legal research and information (trademark laws, jurisprudence, best practices, taskforce) Gather and organise evidence of use, sales figures and marketing materials to be provided to national Trademark Offices in support of trademark and design applications, oppositions and litigationsAssist the IP Counsel(s) in litigation activitiesWhat will make you successfulSolid experience in trademark field within an international environment or alternatively a law firmFamiliar with online databases and with web-based IP Management System, ideally Memotech, or computer literate to allow fast onboardingExcellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to successfully handle competing prioritiesFlexible, proactive, team player, able to take initiativesExtremely accurate and high attention to detailCurious and agile with ability to work autonomouslyExcellent command of written and spoken English a must, good command of spoken French is desirableNestlé is committed to the accessibility of its recruitment process.
