Scientist - Nuclear Fuel Behavior Analysis and Development
Your tasks

• €¢
  
Development of nuclear fuel performance codes, including both established methodologies and high-fidelity approaches

• €¢
  
Modelling and simulation of standard and advanced fuel concepts, covering operational, transient, accident, and storage scenarios

• €¢
  
Verification and validation of models, methods, and computational tools using international benchmark data and post irradiation examinations, and experimental measurements

• €¢
  
Technical support to the regulator through independent assessments and expert review of fuel related safety questions

• €¢
  
Participation in international activities, preparation of research proposals, publication of scientific articles and supervision of students



YOUR PROFILE



• €¢
  
PhD degree in nuclear engineering (or related discipline)

• €¢
  
Strong background and interest in nuclear fuel behaviour, fuel performance modelling, and materials under irradiation

• €¢
  
Solid experience with fuel performance codes (e. , FRAPCON/FRAPTRAN, TRANSURANUS, FALCON, BISON, OFFBEAT etc. )

• €¢
  
Experience with validation, benchmarking, and interpretation of fuel related experimental results

• €¢
  
High proficiency in programming and scripting capabilities

• €¢
  
Good knowledge of numerical methods for scientific computing

• €¢
  

Familiarity with regulator-oriented analysis workflows is a plus
